Our platform enables schools to manage attendance, exams, fees, homework, communication, and other academic operations efficiently and securely.
1. Information We Collect
We collect and process information to enable schools to manage their operations and improve the overall user experience. The types of data include:
a. Information Provided by Users
Personal Details: Name, email, phone number, date of birth, gender, address, and profile photo.
School Details: School name, branch, contact information, and administrator details.
Academic Details: Class, section, roll number, subjects, marks, attendance, timetable, assignments, exam schedules, and performance data.
Teacher Details: Qualification, subject handled, attendance, salary information (if managed by school), and communication logs.
Parent Details: Name, relationship with student, and contact details.
b. Automatically Collected Information
Device type, ID, and operating system information.
IP address and approximate location for login verification and analytics.
Usage logs, actions performed, and crash reports.
Firebase Analytics or similar services for app performance monitoring and notifications.
c. Information Provided by Schools
Schools upload and manage data related to their students, parents, and staff through the Smart Campus Dashboard. Desire Web acts as a data processor — managing and storing this data only on behalf of the school (the data controller).
2. How We Use the Information
To provide school management features (attendance, exams, homework, communication, etc.).
To verify and authenticate user access.
To send updates, notifications, and school-related alerts.
To analyze performance, usage, and app improvement.
To maintain platform security and prevent misuse.
To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Data Deletion and Retention
When a school deletes a student or teacher record from the Smart Campus Dashboard, all associated information — including contacts, academic data, and personal details — is automatically deleted from our servers.
We do not retain or store any deleted contact or personal information once it has been removed by the school.
Data is retained only as long as required for school operations or as per legal requirements.
In case a school discontinues its ERP subscription, its data will be securely deleted or anonymized within 60–90 days of termination.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade user data.
Information may only be shared with:
Schools: Each school has access only to its own data.
Trusted Service Providers: For hosting, analytics, and notifications (e.g., Firebase, AWS, Google Cloud).
Legal Compliance: If required by law or court order.
Business Transfers: In case of merger or acquisition, under strict confidentiality.

7. Children’s Data
Smart Campus handles student information (including minors) only through authorized schools. We do not directly collect personal data from children. All student-related data is managed solely by the respective institution.
